  1. Deze/// Zomer/// In/// Het/// Van Gogh/// Museum///

    day-zeh//  zoue-mahr// in// kheyt// fan-kok// mooeh-zay-eh

Dutch vowels and consonants can be quite a challenge to pronounce correctly....and it depends upon the region. Above is considered fairly standard...equivalent to North American Standard Dialect (NASD). It is called Algemeen Beschaafd Nederlands (ABN)  [algkay-mane bay-skaahft nay-dayer-lanz]

    :)  mouthful...eh?

In many instances the end consonant on a word fades , similar to "doing" (doin') "going" (goin') "happening" (happenin')

  2. deIz(upside down e) z(upside down e, and upside down ohm-sign)m(upside down e)r  In het van GoG muzeI3:m

(the a in van is pronounced as in arm)

(the o in Gogh is pronounced as in got)

G is very harsh, in the back of your throat

(I tried to use the phonetic spelling, but it won't work here, so I hope you'll manage reading it)

  3. deze: day'zuh

    zomer: z'oh'muh'r

    in: in (as in English)

het: het (like net in English)

    van: fun

Gogh: gog (with both gs as the gutteral 'ch' in Scottish 'loch')

museum: mu'say'yim (the 'mu' is a short 'i' sound pronounced through lips that form the letter 'o')

    Hope that helps.

  4. I agree with Hagglehare about the biggest part, but I would put deze, zomer and museum like this:

deze: day'zuh > the 'u' as in turn, put the stress on 'day'

zomer: z'oh'muh'r > again the 'u' as in turn, put the stress on 'zoh'

museum: mu'zay'om > hard to explain the pronunciation of the  'u', because that sound doesn't exist in English. It's like the German word über, but I don't know if that helps. Put the stress on 'zay'.
