  1. I'm not going to add to what others have tried to explain, other than to say that once you have familiarized yourself with the sounds of French, you will almost always be able to know how a word is pronounced from its spelling. The other way won't hold true, though -- it's harder to spell a word you hear.

  2. Bedaine:

    (beuh-dayne)

    Crins:

    (Kruhn)

It's somewhat hard to write the pronunciation...try finding the pronunciation online, it might be more clear, at least more so than my phoetics >.< haha

  3. La Bedaine = potbelly - it is pronounced like badane

Le Crins - horse hair - it is pronounced like creen

  4. * buh-dain (ai pronounced like in stairs)

    * kr... (the n and the s aren't pronounced, the "in" together is in fact pronounced like one vowel that sounds like in "bassin" on this site http://voicech.ifrance.com/... just click on the word bassin, and you'll hear the pronunciation)

  5. It's REALLY hard to describe how to pronounce French, so just go to this website:

    http://www.acapela-group.com/text-to-spe...

It'll pronounce it for you, just make sure you change it to a French speaker.
