  1. prolly try the number just cause the store has to go through the company first to hand out donations

  2. Most stores have a manager or corporate office that handles what is called Community Programs or Charitable Giving/Non-profit Charities.  If you have a business or a non-profit organizations, you can contact the company who you are seeking funds from and find out how to best send a request for the funds.  Usually they will tell you to fax or mail a letter of request to the person that handles this.  This is not an overnight process.  I have worked for non-profit orgs. that do this, and there is a certain, professional way that you go about requesting funds.  You can't just walk into a store or corporation and expect for them to cut a check made payable to you, they have to account for any charitable giving they do through their accounting office.  Also, some businesses have only a certain amount of money per year that they can allocate toward community programs or charities, so it can be quite competitive to receive funding.

Contact a store manager, or go online to find the toll-free number or other contact that you would need to make a request such as this.  If you go in person, be sure you look professional and have literature on your cause or organization to give the manager or executive who is on staff.

    Good luck!

  3. You have to talk to the local manager first. Go there in person and talk to him/her in a professional manner.  Explain your project and why you need the donation.  If it is worthy enough he will make arrangements with the corporate office.

  4. We have gone in person to our local store MANY times to ask for donations to a homeless shelter we worked in. They are always happy to donate (We usually have to wait for approval from the upper offices) and I think they made us fill out an application for donation. They get tax breaks for it, so they will usually do it.

Simply introduce yourself & say that you represent w/e organization & you are looking for community support, then ask if they could possibly help with any type of donation.

  8. If i were you i would go and face to face talk to them and if  you call them they wont know who you are and if you face to face talk to them they;l know who you are and you will have a better chance of them saying yes but don't forget to use those 2 words please and thank you and ask them politely and don't be nervous or shy be yourself and as long as you stay calm  and try not to mess up and use please and thank  you the rest you pick what  you want to say.

  9. Hands up! lol.

  10. call the store and ask for the manager then just say hi im so and so im runnig_____ would you like to donate?

  11. For donations you should go to the store and ask to speak to the manager in charge.  Telephone solicitors at a place of business are seldom taken seriously, and they may just ask you to send some sort of written information. The manager there will be able to get you connected with whoever you need to speak to about donations.
