Question:

How to properly re-paint a cheap handgun?

I've stripped, primed, and apint steel bofore on carrier flight deck, but I'm not sure if I would do the same way, i'm looking for Chrome, Nickel, or the original steel if it's possible safely.

  1. Well your best bet is to take it to a gunsmith which i agree unless you got experience in chroming or nickle plating. the best source i would use is the gunsmiths guide which can be found at various book stores  


  2. Dunk it in Tar. Then put flower on it. DONT DO THIS

  3. mongo deserves best answer on this.  I'm just glad you are making your first attempt on a cheap gun.  My first try was on a CVA black powder kit.

  4. Contact or visit a local gunsmith for finish options and prices. If you are a real do it yourselfer: Brownells sells everything you could want for finishing firearms and other gunsmithing suplies.

    Blueing, parkerizing, paints, teflon, plating.....
