How to proposed to my girl? any ideas please

i live in new york city, im trying to ask my girl to marry me but i have no idea on how. im not that much of a romantic guy. but im very loving inside. i was thinking on going to times square where is always pack with people and getting on my knee in the middle of it and ask her. i really need some help. nothing fancy we are really not like that

go to times square and plan to have a message put up on the big screen. that is really cute.

I think you should take her to central park and ask her there...find a nice little area that looks romantic and maybe off the beaten path then propose...

If you really want to marry her, it doesn't have to be overly dramatic. the thing is, are you afraid she will say No if you are in private?If so, don't let uncertainty be a factor. The worse she can do is reject the offer. Get it over with, then give her time to think about it. She may change her mind. To put her on the spot in an open forum may get a yes, but later a reconsideration. Either way, best to get it done. Best of luck. Sorry I can't give a sure fire method, but that doesn't exist, no guarantees.

If it was me I would want to be proposed to in private with nobody else there, over breakfast in bed or something so we can enjoy the day together. It might be difficult proposing in times square like that, you might get bumped and drop the ring! But try and do something that has a special meaning to you both like propose at the place you had your first date.

dont go to time square and propose it might make her uncomfortable and nervous. If you're planning a very public proposal...make sure you've discussed marriage first. Believe it or not, there is more than one answer to, "Will you marry me?" If you are not positive that the answer will be a loud "YES!" don't make a public showing of popping the question.

other non-fancy shmancy suggestions:

-u can hold an engagement party

-engagement shower

-cook a low-key dinner (very romantic!) and hide ring in food which is cute but not that original.

-go to your favorite Chinese restaurant. Have the waiter give her a special fortune cookie with "Will you marry me?" in it. Or you could have it say, "You will receive a diamond in the very near future." And present the diamond in a box.

-Order a dozen red roses and pick them up yourself at the shop. Write the card to say, "Will you marry me?" and put the diamond in a presentation box with the roses. Present the flowers during a candlelight dinner for two at home (cater if you can't cook).
