I bought a car in the US and decided to transported it via shipping company which is located in Illinois. It was affirmed that car would be in my home country this June, but still I have not received it. So shipping company breaks rules of signed contract and I'd like to protect my consumer rights.

  1. Your consumer rights in this case are only as good as the agreement you signed when you hired this company to ship your car.

I have a suspicion that this company, as all do, protect themselves in those agreements (the fine print).

If there is such an agreement, read it and see what your rights are. Either way, I would complain to the management of the company and let them know you are not satisfied. Dont stop with one supervisor, take it to the top if you have to. You always have legal means of recourse but they are often more expensive than the price you paid for the service you are suing for.

  2. go to the phone book and get a lawyer. call them up and ask for help
