How to prove a China site called Goolebo is genuine?

I am thinking of buying a 42" plasma tv and import it from china but they insists on using western union or bank transfer to pay first

  1. Peter, this seems like a bad decision waiting to happen.  

    Why not try buying a tv from a local electronics store, or from a website you've heard of like Amazon.


  2. Don't do it.  You WILL get ripped off.  Guaranteed.

    In 99% of cases, these 'sellers' are just waiting to scam you.  Once you have sent your money, you will  lose it and there will be nothing you can do to get it back.

    Even if you are the lucky 1% who does actually get something sent, it will be a cheap and nasty piece of tat that will pack up very quickly and will have no warranty.

    Buy from within the U.K. - it's much. much safer.

  3. Um... in these days of wired connectivity, there's no reason you should have to pay by western union or bank transfer.  Something's very fishy there.
