How to publish a book on our own?

I have written a book on diploma instrumentation. I want to publish the book out of my own without the help of any publishing company or any agents. Can i do it?Will u please help me? I am an Indian national.

If you use Lulu, http://www.lulu.com you will be able to publish the book yourself free.

You will need to format your document to suit one of their formats (their website gives excellent help on how to do this) and send it to them.

The principle is that the book is printed on demand, as orders arise, so there is no large outlay or stock needing to be stored.

Lulu will also give the book an ISBN and it can be listed on Amazon so as to reach a wider market. You can also, of course, create a website to advertise your publication, directing customers to where they can order it from Lulu.

You set your own price (and profit margin). Lulu handles the orders and pays you the difference between the selling price and cost of production.
