How to put DVR videos to USB flash drive.?

I have DirecTV for my DVR. If it's possible, I need to know, in detail, how to put recorded shows onto a flash drive or external HDD.

  1. No the only way is to have a tv recorder and hook it from rca to comp moniter and record


  2. If you want to expand the DVR recording size then you can use the WD My DVR Expander.

    However, you cannot play any of the channels you record outside of the DVR (except broadcast ones) because they are encrypted.

  3. Buy some media center type pc connectors and record the videos onto your computer or directly to a flash drive.
