How to put a bar in closet for clothing to hang on? Without Studs!?

Hi, i want to put a clothing bar in my closet to hang my shirts on but there aren't any studs in the two walls. How do i safely put in the bar for my shirts?

If your closet has a shelf, you can purchase a fixture that will hang off the shelf.  

If your closet has a regular type of door (on hinges)  you can buy a rack that fits over the top of the door. These are usually found in the laundry section with with the hangers and such.

If all else fails, go to an IKEA  Store - they have everything.

Go to Wal-Mart and in the hardware department they sell the kits to hang the poles up.Also they have a bracket that extends from a shelf that holds the bar.Take a look there are alot of possibilities you can use and they are cheaper then going to lowes or Home Depot.Good Luck!

If you check your local hardware store you will find a selection of wall anchors. Some are simple, but others will rate up to 250lbs. These are inserted through the drywall and are then attached to with corresponding size screws. Look for an anchor with legs that extend off the main anchor.
