How to put a video on to a cd using windows media player?? HELP!!?

I have to put my video from my camera onto my laptop and then on to a cd so i can play it using a dvd player!! Please help me!!!

  1. it maybe best to use a video editing app like windows movie maker for starters... this is bundled with the OS- XP or Vista

    video editing process- Vista/wmm6

          >>> open wmm- start/all programs/wmm->TASK pane

    1. Import video files - convert if format not supported

    2. Edit- drag/drop video files->timeline & enhance w/effects, transition, music & titles

    3. Publish (render)- save Movie (OK for youTube), also, save Project.msmmw file

          >>> Share=>auto-shifts to WindowsDvD authoring app->burn to DvD

    Similarly: XP/wmm2- Capture/Edit/Finish- DvD authoring app, e.g.,DvD Flick or Nero
