  1. Follow the directions that came with your router. Most likely you have to put http://192.168.1.1/ into your browser and login with the default username and password (could be 'admin' and 'admin' or 'admin' and 'password' or 'admin' and 'netgear'). Then change the admin password and use the menus to set the WEP password.

Just make up a new password and set it on all your wireless devices.

You could write the WEP key on the bottom of your router or use its serial number. It's possible someone already did that, so look on the router.

Also, to keep things fair, steal some things from your neighbors. That flat screen TV looks mighty spiffy.

  2. it depends on what router you use. you could find it somewhere in the wireless settings of you router.

  3. JoelKatz had an excellent explanation, but I'd like to add that you may want to look into upgrading your router's firmware to DD-WRT. It's free, makes your router more stable, and allows you use WPA encryption which lacks the security flaws of WEP encryption. (Anybody who really wants to connect to your signal cane easily figure out how to hack WEP keys, but doing this with WPA is a lot tougher)
