i want to make a video to put on youtube. the type of videos where you download clips and put them together and add a song. i downloaded the clip i wanted but it goes to windows media player. i don't get how to put the video from the media player to windows movie make so i can edit and add a song.

please tell me how you transfer the clip from the media player to the movie maker

  1. Windows media player is just a player, not the location of your clips.

    You must know in which folder your clips are. If you don't know, open the Media Player, go to Library, Videos, right-click on the clip, and then, open file location (or properties), in order to know where your clips are. Once you know it, go to the Movie Maker, click file, and Import Media Items, and go to the folder where your clips are, select them, ok.


  2. Also, do a search on YouTube for "windows movie maker" or "how to create a video for youtube" and you'll find lots of tutorials that are very helpful.
