How to put custom firmware on psp, with or without pandoras battery ?

I just bought a psp slim 3.72 with 1200mAH batt. I have a 4g memory stick pro duo magic gate. What do I need to buy or change to make it custom firmware so I could download and save games to it.

You need a pandoras battery in order to downgrade your model and you can't make one out of a slim battery unless you hard mod it.
