Ok so to tell you the truth im not to comfortable asking this question on here but i need to know, and my parents are asleep. So im going to Cedar Point on Thursday but tomorrow i will be staying at Kalahari Resort, and of course, im going to the waterpark. However, im on my period and im not heavy at all. Tomorrow will be my 4th day and i have been on my period for at least 2 years. When i put the tampon in(Tampax Super) it hurts very badly, and its dry thats why it hurts. When i do get it in, i have some problems.

1. A little less than half the tampon is sticking out and i cant push it in anymore.

2. I can barley walk, sit, or bend down.

Part of my problem i think i need to get a smaller size but any other suggesttions?

Thanks

  1. easy

put your thumb and middle finger on the grooves, push it in and when those 2 fingers touch your skin, push it in with your pointer! It should be in all the way, and the string should hang out. .. If its hurts when you have it in, its not in right!

    good luck!

  2. don't put in the super unless you're verrrrrrrrrry heavy.  definitely get a smaller size one.  a good one to start off with is the playtex gentle glide.  it's very small and slender.  make sure when putting a tampon in, is that it goes in reallllly far.  if anny of it is sticking out, it will hurt a lot.

    hope i helped :]

  3. get in the tub and get it wet

    the key is to RELAX

  4. You definitely need to get a smaller size.  You really should look at the warnings on the box, if the tampon is too dry and stays that way you can get Toxic Shock Syndrome.

  5. Deffinitly try a lighter size. Get the Tampax Pearl in light they are really comfortable for light days. Even on heavier days, i wouldn't use the heavy beacuse you could get TSS.

When you put it in, make sure that you are relaxed because it will help you push the tampon in.You also need to push the tampon in farther.

If all else fails, ask your mom for help. The first time I wore one, my mom had to put it in for me. Then after that she gave me advice and I got it in no problem. You may feel akward asking, but just come out and say it because she'll be happy to help.

  6. i would go to

    www.tampax.com

it will show u how to put in a tampon and how to remove it

    good luck

  7. Size is your first problem, if your period is light then you should use the appropriate tampon. I have no solution to the dryness thing...Read the paper that comes in the box, It explains things very well.

  8. you're probably putting it in wrong

  9. yes i think super is too big for you!

  10. You probably do need a smaller size.  I have trouble with the super's and I'm 30.  But here's the thing.  Sit on the toliet.  Hold it were the two pieces of the applicator meet.  Insert and aim toward the small of your back, not straight up or forward.  When your fingers touch yourself take your other hand and push in the applicator.  You'll probably feel a little pressure in your pelvis when you do.  Then remove the cardboard (or plastic) applicator and discard.  Good luck, feel free to email me if you have anymore questions.  This took me forever to get straight and I was too embarrased to ask my mom.

  11. You definitely need a smaller size. The exact same thing happened to me. I was in so much pain when I sat, walked, or bent over. I got a smaller size and it was perfect. I couldn't even feel it.
