  1. start from the base of your eyelashes (the part thats nearest to the skin) and apply some there a few times, then gently glide over the rest. I suggest not putting too much because it will look clumpy, so if you do put on a lot, then use rimmel london lash maxxxx.

  2. Open your eyes really wide, and look at a mirror at an angle. Just take your time, really.

  3. I was taught once that if you use a baby wipe and fold it up a couple times (so you don't get it on your hands) and wipe away the excess mascara from the brush onto the wipe. This works really good especially with brand new mascara. Then try to apply it to your lashes, it helps prevent all the clumping. Good luck let us know how it all goes!

  4. place a business card above your eyelashes and softly against the skin prior to applying any mascara. This way, it will smudge onto the card and not your skin! And the reason I use a card is because it is stiffer and easier to hold then tissues.

  5. Take your time. Maybe try another brand (it could be the wand and not you) just wet your finder and wipe it off (:

  6. Apply it with your eyes open wide. Start from the outer corner of your eye and work your way in when applying it on the top lashes. Holding the brush horizontally, wiggle the brush at the base of your lashes a little and make a sweeping motion straight up. This separates and coats the lash well. Try not to blink or close your eye hard until it has a second to dry. You can blink, but just do it gently or it's going to smear. For the bottom lashes, you can either use a different mascara with a smaller brush, which makeup artists do, or turn the brush vertical and apply it to the bottom lashes very carefully doing a few eyelashes at a time. Again, don't blink or close your eye hard until it's able to dry a little.

  7. This tip for applying mascara will benefit your forehead more than your lashes.  Most people open their eyes as much as possible and that leads to forehead lines.  To keep from getting those lines, open your mouth when applying mascara.  I've done this since highschool and I have very few lines AND I'm 55!

  8. take ur time.

tip: if you put mascara just on ur top part of ur eyelashes, they will go down a little. but if you put it on the bottom[part of the eyelashes] and go from the lid to the tip, it might make them stick up a little, and make them wider kinda

  9. Okay Open your eyes wide right now. feel where you lashes are? they are closer to your eyelid. When you apply your mascara you want it far away from your lid so it doesn't get on it.

If you look at a wall mirror or one that stays at eye level tilt your head back and apply the mascara.

If you have a hand held one or any other type its easier to just take it to you can look down your nose. that way your not straining your neck and your eyes are open enough for you to see.

This will prevent smudging, and you can work your mascara right to the tip so you lashes will be longer, and curl.

since you just go mascara and suck at it i'm going to write the following as if you were a beginner:

Make sure there is no extra mascara on the very tip of the wand. that happens with the mascara i have right now, which I will not buy again just because I do not like it overall.

do not pump the wand in and out but put the lid in and turn the wand for more mascara. Pumping it will cause it to dry and push bacteria inside.

You can curl your lashes before applying mascara for more curl. But do that once you got your mascara technique down pat.

do not hold the wand horizontally. Hole the wand parallel to your eyelid this will cause your lashes to fan out more.  Wiggle it like you would brushes your front teeth. Start from the base and work your way up.

if you want add a second coat after the first one dries.

make sure you brush your lashes when they are wet to avoid clumping.

If you ever have to hurry and create a smudge or just mess up, use a cotton swap , q-tip, or what ever name is prefured, apply a little make up remover on it and gently dap the area with the mascara.

You'll apply the mascara after eyeliner and eyeshadow.

    Hope this helps you!

  10. For the upper lashes start at the part closest to your eye and slowly shimmy your way up. Do it a few times to make them fuller and longer but not too much or you'll just end up with one big clumpy eyelash. For the lower lashes just go side to side until they look full. I would suggest not as much as the top lashes though... May look... scary? This advice may be rubbish but I'm only thirteen and dont wear make-up so what do i know? lols! I hope my advice works out though...
