How to put tv shows on ipod?

i heard of a program that allows you to take downloaded content like video's and put them on my ipod withough purchasing the upgrade from quicktime.

The easiest answer I know of is podcasts.

Go to iTunes and look for podcasts.  Thousands of them are for free.

The two main ways I do it are:

1) Get a Ripping Software, like Cucusoft or Aimersoft are the best I found so far. They each cost $30 dollars to get but thats it. Then you can get netflix or rentals or any that you may own and RIP the DVDS. Both the software types I mention convert the files to the correct ipod format. This method is the most secure way no internet is required and thus a Zero % chance of viral invection. The cost of the software and rental is really vaery minimal.

2) The other methed, and totally free method but time consuming and alittle risky, is to do a net search for "Utorrent' . Utorrent is a downloader for -'torrents'. There are several torrent websites, one of which is minnova. So far this website is the simplist Ive found. After download Utorrent, go to Mininova and search the site for any TV show you want or Movie. Use the search option to refine search. Once you locate what you want, scroll the list for waht you want. select and hit the 'dowload torrent' button. It will redirect to the Utorrent program and begine downloading. This process of downloading can be long and may take days if you have a slow net connection, 7MBps Dwnld minimally, for a good download speed, faster is better of course. This method will get you free TV shows and Movies but it takes a considerable amount of time to download this stuff. Also you will need a converter program most torrent files are in .AVI, which is Tivo and DVR format. The ipod will not play that format, so you will need to converthem. There are free converter programs but they dont always work. I use Aimersoft converter it cost a few dollars but it works good. But you can use the free programs if you want to. Go to snapfiles.com to find one.

Rippping only takes a couple hours to get an entire CD or an hour or so for a movie; it does cost alittle bit, but NO chance of virus infection. Downloading can take all day or days to download; its completely free but there is a chance of PC invection. Remeber, always back up your files either on a disk or external HD. If your PC crashes or fries up then all you stuff will be gone.
