How to put video clips together from movies?

Question

I was watching some you tube videos and I noticed that people had in their videos clips from movies but they obviously didn't record it off the tv with a camera. Can someone please tell me how to get movie clips and process them together so I might be able to make a video.

Preferably for the twilight series. :)

you need a tv recorder card that connects pc to the tv for recording programmes.

or.. get clips from other sites such as metacafe, veoh, ..

or.. use a web cam and start recording something... or

Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker(included in your windows machine)  to create new masterpieces.... then save it as video file such as wmv ... finally upload.

this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 video formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mpg videos with windows movie maker. Ensure you use dvd conversion setting for better quality video.

you could try downloading the video clips that you want, then using windows movie maker to splice them together. To make a video using actual movie clips just requires some software that allows you to edit, cut,  and combine video clips. I personally don't know of much software that does this, but try using windows movie maker since it should already be installed on your computer. (if your using windows)

Im very interested in this topic myself and hope you find a solution, I'd like to make a couple clips myself.

They probably downloaded those videos somewhere off the internet.

I wanted to know the same the other day as most of my vids i've made in WMM for YT were still pictures,..and i wanted some movement in them.

I realised it had to download the the video clips from the web,..or use bits of Movie's that i have already got saved to my Computer and edit them together in WMM on the time-line,..and just add Music and writing to them.

Its easy Ive made tons of vids. If you want twilight I suggest you download them from either YouTube or Veoh. Preferably Veoh, and then mix, edit and do what you want to them in Windows Movie Maker.
