Hello there.. this is my first post. I was wondering if someone could show me the steps as to how i can get a video i recorded on my video camera to my Ipod. I have both the tape of the video (the camera tape) and the video transferred to a CD as well. Thank you :)

  1. Basically anything transferred to your ipod must come from your pc - not any external source.  So first transfer the videos from your camera to your pc.  Once there you can drag and drop the videos into your (iTunes) library.   Once in the library you can right click the file and select CONVERT FOR IPOD USE.

a note:  iTunes for some horrible reason will not always convert the audio as well.

  2. First, you need to load your camera video onto pc.

If it is MP4 video, here is a guide about How to Put Video on Your Video iPod

If your video isn't MP4 format, you need video converter software to convert video to MP4 video.

I use wondershare Video to iPod Converter.

It's very easy to use, even for newbie, and works well on my pc.

Here is a step by step guide about it:

This one is for Mac OS:

Let me know details about your camera, I would give you a particular solution.
