How to put videos from a video camera on to a blank cd ?

i really need help with this . what kind of cd do you have to use in order to do this . do i need a program if yes then what program. tell me step by step and how to use the program in order to do this. you will get full points for best answer thank you very much !!!!

if ur camcorder has a firewire port,just directly connect to ur pc n burn on any cd u like.u'll need some kind of burning software like roxio , nero n so on though.
