How to put volume control back on the bottom taskbar? Don't have Sounds & Audio devices under Control Panel?

I already went to to Control Panel, under Classic View and I don't have anything called Sound and Audio devices. The only one I have is Sound by itself. When I click this, it gives me the tabs Playback, Recording and Sounds. I have an HP Pavilion dv6000 if that helps at all.

What operating system do you have?  You can try start/all programs/accessories/entertainment and then right click on volume control, select 'send to' and left click desktop (create shortcut).  You can then drag it to your quick launch bar or just leave it on the desktop.

You can't drag it to the bar on the right (taskbar?) but at least you'll have it handy.
