How to quit and collect?

how do i quit my job yet be able to collect unemployment in California; and maybe receive a severance package too?

Check with your state unemployment office.  Most states deny unemployment compensation to people who quit their jobs without good cause.  AND a severance package?  Who are you kidding?

Does your state allow you to  quit just to collect unemployment?

Most states say you have to be laid off. Better check it out first.
