  1. You will be lucky if you get any off sticker. Small cars are bringing a premium now because everybody wants them. Start a little below sticker and see where it goes from there. Don't let them do add on's that's where they make there money. You don't need extended warranty's. paint protectant, undercoating or any extra they try to sell ya.Hold your ground and don't jump to fast and you will do well. Regardless of what you end up paying as long as you are happy with deal that's all that matter..............UJN

  2. Research about the Civic and what kind of motor it's running, basic's on it. Go to the dealership, ask the salesman the questions you already know the answers to. If the salesman doesn't know c**p about the car walk out the door.

If they do, they're one of many and will certainly give you a good deal. Well, that's my little test that I give. I can tell you from personal experience that 90% of car salesman don't even know what their selling and these are the salesman who always try to jip you.

  3. I hardly see people have pleasant experience at the dealership. My tips for you could be this. After get a price quote from one dealer, leave your phone number then try few other dealers. If the price is your major concern, keep negotiating with them by phone. After set the price, make sure to check with interest rates and any hidden or additional fees. Some play hard, so you must too.

  4. There isn't much to haggle on a 2008 Honda Civic. They are not distressed merchandise and are bringing in Sticker at most dealerships.

If you want to try, I would do research on the Civic you want with the equipment and options and get the MSRP an Invoice price. If you can get one $500 over invoice<plus any available rebates>, you got a good deal.

However, if you find the car you want at a price you can afford, then you got a GREAT deal, regardless of what amount of money was taken off the sales price. Good Luck.
