  1. The most important thing to remember when trying to get air on a wakeboard is to stand tall through the wake as you come across it.  This is to say, don't bend your knees as it will absorb your momentum.  Cutting into the wake aggresively (hard on edge) will generate the pop you are looking for.

  2. on a wakeboard, get out as far as you can on one side, then progressively cut harder and harder until you hit the wake (you dont want to be flat when you hit the wake, be on the edge of the board)  then try to lift your knees when you are in the air, and pray that you can get flat before you hit the water

on skis just do the same, but dont be on such an edge when you hit the wake, try to hit it flat....then just launch it man

  3. I went to a wakeboard camp, and this is what they told me to do:

Start out jumping from at toe-side and cut as far from the wake as possible. Start slowly cutting back into the wake and as you get closer to the wake, speed up faster and faster (you should be going as fast as possible once you hit the wake). Once you start gaining speed, bend you knees. Once you are on the wake, push down as hard as possible into the water, and you will fly into the air real high. Also when you land you should stand straight and once you hit the water bend your knees again so you don't hit the water as hard. Also throughout the whole thing, keep you handle near your waist so you can keep your balance a lot easier.
