How to "relactate" without an established latch?

I never established a latch with my newborn Can I still build up my milk supply and get him back on breastmilk if he isn't directly breastfeeding? what are your recommendations?

  2. while my babies were in the nicu i was instructed to pump every three hours as if i was feeding our babies by breast.  this kept my supply up until they came home 3 months later.  i got the breast pump from WIC free to borrow.

  3. if you are still producing milk even small amounts, you can use a breastpump.  You can even hand express as well which is a cheaper way but you will get a sore hand.  Check with your hospital you may be able to hire a breastpump or go to the pharmacy or baby store and buy a breastpump.  If you have no milk then you may be able to take medication to help restart lactation but it is best to talk to your doctor first about that.  Good luck
