How to "scoop" out mid-frequencies on guitar for Death Metal?

I want to know how this is done, in order to obtain a Death metal sound.

the guitar you buy matters (what it has for pickups, the pick-ups are the  first key

from there it matters what amp you use

and then any box you run your cord through befor it gets to that amp (a distortion box?

I dont specificallt know how a more modern than me sound like death metal is produced

I just know these are the factors that chose what sound  a guitar  will have.

and if I were you I'd go straight to the music store, hang out, and ASK people that seem to know what they're doing

Try not to buy a rig the first time you go, invest in a few visits till you know a thing or 2 for self, THEN buy

Go to the music store regularaly, even if youre not gonna buy anything, keep familiarizing yourself with the hardware.

run a bbe sonic stomp or an eq pedal through your effects loop. Thee bbe will clean up your sound and give you a scooped sound or with the eq pedal you can just sccop them out. But make sure you run that throgh your effects loop. I was also looking to get a nice death metal tone also and I run an eq pedal that works wonders.
