  1. Here's a site might help you: http://www.takemefishing.org/fishing/fis...

  2. Some lakes allow you top do either, whilst others are intended for fly fishing only, me being an obsessed fly fisherman i would recommend that you try the fly fishing aspect of it, but check out the lake rules, if you don't feel confident in fly fishing then use a simple bobber, maybe fished with some Berkley power bait.

  3. sometimes places like that have their own rules.

  4. Rainbow trout are usually found in streams and small brooks. Here is a link about rainbow trout fishing:

  5. If the lake has been stocked, then the best thing for you ta' do is not worry bout' a bobber and simply use everyones favorite, Berkley's Power Bait (I'll use it but, strictly on "planters" ie., Rainbows). With planted Trout one does not have ta' be fancy with the riggin', just take some split shot (re-useable type), put weight(s) bout' 18-20 inches above a number 8 or 10 hook. and that be basically it. One can also use what is known as a slider/egg weight with a Barrel Swivel attached to a leader (link for riggin' it up). By the way the reason I said, not ta' worry bout' the bobber is that Power Bait floats and if ya' use one, the bait is goin' ta' float up to the surface of the water, ya' know where the bobber is layin'. Links below will show ya' the goodies I'm referrin' to. Good luck with them plants and "Fish/Trout On" ;)... < ' ( (( > <

    Berkley's Power Bait:

    Split shot (re-useable):

    Egg/slider weight:

    Slider weight riggin':

These little gems here will eliminate one havein' ta' re-rig a slider weight ie., do not have ta' cut line to change over weight or ?. Their called a "Snap Lok" sinker/weight ("Water Gremlin' " puts them out also). Know on the page it specifies for Bass but, they'll work with just bout' any species ~ trust me ;) :

Note: Ya' made mention of fishin' a bridge ~ thing bout' that is, you don't want the sun on your backside because it'll cast your shadow on the water which ='s them knowin' somethin' is there that shouldn't be. Suggest you stay at the shoreline butttttt, don't wantin' ya' forgettin' the sun and that dreadfull shadow, there too ;).......

Added: Slider weights are used for sensitivity meanin' that when the fish picks up the bait it will not feel the weight of the sinker. Also, if ya' do go with the PB, take a small portion out of jar, place between palms of your hands and with applyin' some presssure rotate the hands in a circlular motion ta' from a ball then push hook inta' it...
