How to raise a 3-day old kitten?

I have a friend in Russia who rents a flat. This is basically a one-room apartment with paper-thin walls.

She found a 3-day-old kitten alone under a car. Its mother and siblings were probably killed, seeing as there are a lot of stray cats around and mothers tend to like having their kittens under parked cars... which inevitably will be moved.

Basically, her problem is how to raise it. First off is to get the kitten to stop crying. Her neighbors are complaining about it because it cries all night, and she is also not getting any sleep.

Next is how to raise it, but most important is the first thing. Can you help?

Try finding a rug that is really soft like a mothers belly and cut a hole somewhere to place a nipple from a baby bottle with formula in it. Then the kitten will feel more comfort if it feels like its feeding from its mom.

You won't have the problem of the kitten not wanting to take to the bottle.

Also, this might help the kitten from not crying because it feels safe.

first take baby to vet...they can recommend care. probably a kitty formula and small feeding bottle. if she doesn't have access to this, baby formula and an eye dropper... Also, if she has a clock that actually "ticks" she could put that in the box with the kitty. remember to keep kitty warm (but not too warm) as the momma would do. Good luck!

It has to be fed EVERY 2 OR 3 HOURS.

Just like a human baby.

After the feeding you need to wash its bottom so it goes pee / poo.

if this is not done it will die.

Put a box with some warm cloths in it and cover the kitten at night. say inside a bedroom cabinet.

It is crying probably because it hungry.

There is formula here in the US for kittens but don't know about there.

Milk is NOT good for a kitten... I will see if I can find a recipe for first milk  and if I can I will get back to you..

OR YOU CAN look it up on the internet.  I use to have a recipe but don't now.

OK HERE IS A RECIPE FOR THE KITTEN MILK. some of the items may not be availible in Russa

INGREDIENTS:

1 lg. can evaporated milk (not Milnot)

2 tbsp. plain yogurt (not diet)

2 tbsp. mayonnaise (real)

1 tbs. Karo Syrup (light)

1 pkg. Knox gelatin

1 egg yolk (beaten)

1 cup of liquid unflavored Pedialyte

buy some kitten formula with a dropper, feed every few hours, take it to the vet, you also have to stimualte its but so it can p**p becuz they can not p**p on there own
