We have moved a radiator downstairs, and we can not refill it. We have an Ideal boiler upstairs and a tank in the loft. Any ideas on how to fill rad with water? Thanks.

  1. It should refill itself when you open the valves.

  2. You can't fill the radiator with water unless you let the air out. There is supposed to be a bleeder valve near the top of your radiator for this purpose. Be sure there is water in the upstairs tank when this is done. Good luck.

  3. Gadi bandh kara ,thodh thamba, bonnette ughda, mag radiatorcha dhakan kadha.Ani pani bhara samjla kay?

  4. Close all of the other rads , open the valves to the new one & unscrew the bleed s***w. Air should be pushed through, then water.

It may be easier if the C/H pump is running.

If it still won't fill, something is very wrong!

  5. You will see a bleed valve on the back side of the radiator, open it when you want to fill it to let the air out, and hey presto its filled with water.

  6. try closing all the other rads leaving the one you want to fill open, put heating on then open bleed valve on rad, you should hear air coming out, leave open until water comes out then close, wait until it is hot then open other rads one at a time until each one is hot you may need to bleed other rads to get any air out. good luck

  7. You have to open the air valve and the water should fill it up.  Go and bleed all the radiators after.  Any knocking noises means trapped air.
