Hey there, so I have some vegetables that I"m doing in a container garden, they are doing great. :] I have about 6+ vegetables (Minus my herbs) that I think need to be replanted, they are all getting really big, and they are in 13.5 quart pots, do you think they will be okay? Or do I need to re-plant them, if so how?

  1. what veggies?   ...," carefully " dont break roots. prepaire new home first for tha veg , new compost ,for veg, miracle grow  type mybe best  ,water new grownd verry well , use trowell to lift out plant put in new grownd. keep wet  not water loged .

  2. replant them into the ground by digging a large hole and removing the entire vegetable plant (dirt included) transfer into ground, fertilze, and water

    good luck!

  3. It really depends on the type of veggie.  For instance, things like watermelon and cucumbers don't do well if their roots are disturbed.  In these cases, you would be best off just making sure you fertilize them well.

But things like peppers repot really well.  Just fill a bigger pot part way with potting soil.  Pop the plant out of the old pot and put them into the new pot.  Make sure that you support the stem really well.

If you are doing something other than tomatoes or peppers, you want to bury it the same level as it is right now.  Peppers and tomatoes will do fine if you bury them deeper, and will actually grow more roots out of the part of the stem that you buried.

    Good luck with it.

  4. As long as you closely monitor their moisture level and feed them regularly they should be fine. If you wish to put them in larger pots, just carefully ease them out of the smaller plant, and re-pot them at the same growing level in the new pot.
