How to read Guitar tabs?

i know how to play some songs with tabs but i also dont get what the number stand for HELP ME OUT PLEASE

  1. easy the layout for a tab goes from low e to high e.

    high e is the first line, low e will be the last line.

    the tuning for the tab should be displayed.

    now the numbers corrispond to frets, so say on the low e string it sais 7, on ure guitar go to the low e string and start from the first fret untill uve got to the 7th, then just play that note, and basically thats it, hope this helps


  2. each line stands for a different string on the guitar. the top one is the smallest string (high E) and the bottom one is the biggest string (low E, if you're right handed it's the string closest to you when you hold the guitar)

    the numbers are the frets you hold down (the fret is the part on the neck of the guitar between the metal bars. The third fret is usually marked with a dot and it'll continue 3, 5, 7, 9, 12 (because it's the center of the guitar), 15, etc.) then you play in the order you read.
