Question:

How to read candle wax?

Okay, for those who do you believe, do not even bother posting. Thanks.

I once read in a book about the Salem Witch Trials that a girl's grandmother burned candles and tilted the candle into a bowl of water so the wax will drop into the bowl. She then observed the shapes and the answer to her question was there. Does anyone know of this? If so, where can I get some more information on this subject? I am Wiccan, if it helps any.

Please, no stupid comments or anything else, thanks.

Blessed Be!

  1. Basically you interprerate the shapes of the cooling wax, you can interpreate them as animals, animals mean different things too. I would pick out the shapes and then find a way to interpreate the meanings. If you have any Wicca books they may help as a refrence.

  2. I do actually know something of this. You basically just melt the wax and drop some in the water and wait for it to cool into a shape. You use the same symbol annalysis as tea-leaf reading... you can find a dictionary for that on the internet.

  3. By observing the shapes of the wax drops in the water, you interpret or "read" the wax. You can either use standard "interpretations" of the symbols you see, or make it more personal by using your intuition to draw meaning from them. For example, a book may tell you that a cat shape may mean one thing, but to YOU, a cat may mean something very different. The message is being given to you, not a book, so personally, I would go with what it means to YOU.
