I found a site that shows an entire fretboard for each scales and I'm not sure how to read it. After looking for a while i figured out you probably have to start from the root note and finish to the next root note. Also i saw that it was all a sequence of 8 notes in between each root notes. Am i right, and is there something else i need to know to read these scales?

  1. You are dead right. In each scale, their are 7 notes and the 8th note is the repetition of the first but one octave higher.

Their are 2 1/2 octave range on a guitar. There is no special way to read b-cuz the scale of the guitar is mostly written for 2 octave exercises.

  2. Just do this....go on google and type in this.....all guitar scales...you'll see tons of sites that will explains everything that you need to know about them.....it would take too long to try and explains it all to you here, I hope this helps.....there is a link in the first five that explains theory !!!!!!! Good luck, and I hope that this helped !!!!!!!
