  1. Throw it in the garbage and order yourself a new Holley, or Edelbrock carb from Jegs!!!!

  2. There is a book that tells you how to do it. I would recommend replacing it with a holley carb. They are alot easier to tune and rebuild. Holley makes a direct replacement for Rochester, especially the quadrajunk.  

  3. Get a kit and follow the directions.  Make sure you get a carburetor kit.

  4. The Rochester Quadrajet is a good carb for stock and mildly modified engines. If you've never rebuilt one, the best thing that you can do is find someone who had been working on cars for a long time. The Quadrajet is a fairly complicated piece, so, it will pay off to have a person that knows what they are doing helping you. Chances are that it will be the old bald guy standing in the corner of the shop that actually has dirt and grease on his hands. The quads have problems that are unique to their design, so, you need someone that knows what to look for.
