How to recharge my creative zen mp3?

I just got it and im recharging it, but how long does it take to fully charge it and how long does it need to be plugged into the computer? Does the player need to be on or off?

it should really be charged for around 8 hours - all rechargeable electronic devices should take 8 hours wither it is your cell phone to your digital camera.

look ur zen stone has no screen like mine (i have zen stone too) it doesn't mind if u turned it on or off when u recharge it a led Will blink if one blink it means that its 25% or lower if two blinks it means ur battery is 25%-50% if three blinks it means its 50%-75% if the led is steady it means its 75%-100% if its steady green it means its fully recharged!!  

p.s: (u can buy any usb-mp3 recharger from ur electronic local store like radio shack)

the player does not need do be on ... only thing is ur computer should be on.... i will take 5 to 7 hrs for full depends on model..
