Impossible.  Women aren't treated equal by the very principles of Islam and are sometimes treated as less than human.  It's absolutely disgusting.

It's easy for people to acknowledge and distinguish differing traits in comparison of one another, it's harder to respect that other person's lifestyle. Respect is essential for peace. You don't necessarily have to agree with them, but respect their decision on the way they live and walk away if you find it too offensive.

it'll have to be give-and-take. you cant do both; so either choose one, or do a little bit of each. try to look at it from both perceptives. thats the best you can do.

That's your problem isn't it?  I could tell you things about islam; only I would be a damned liar because I'm not admitting to being oppressed. So kiss it.

Let me back myself up, that's one thing | can do.  I'm an American living right in the Arab society in Dammam; not far from my home there is a women's section to a bank; something that upon my telling you; you would in your feministic ways call me a liar.  The reason for that is because I'm not admitting to how oppressed women in islam are.  I could even go further by telling you that women in Islamic countries have been earning and keeping their monies to themselves way before you ever thought of it.  Again I would be called a liar; you women are now enjoying the freedom of keeping your maiden names.  Islamic women have been enjoying this for centuries.  Therefore I repeat kiss my <cough> I'll be damned I'll have you tell me what to think.

Well, we could certainly begin by telling women to NEVER get involved with men who are cognitively impaired with a religiosity based on misogynistic religions such as Islam or Christianity.  Women should RUN not walk as fast as they can from Quran or Bible thumping men.  Women must NOT reconcile or compromise with misogyny.
