I have an Alba rdvd1001XI and am tryin to record my PS3 footage.

I have my PS3 plugged into the back of the DVD by Scart lead and the dvd plugged into the pack on the TV usin a scart lead.

Now all I can get it the dvd menu. I can't get the PS3 screen up unless I unplug it from the DVD player and plug it into the TV.

Does anyone know how to get the PS3 screen up whilest keepin the DVD player active so that I can record my footage?

Many thanks.

  1. Is your PS3 set to comp output??? If it isnt the DVD wont pick it up...

**UPDATE - it should be in video settings in the setup screen. I think you have composite/scart/component options. Your DVD recorder wont take HDMI signals or anything but scart. Try changing them and see what happens. It may be you have a scart connection but kicking the signal out in non-compatible signal. Try changing them and then plug into the DVD recorded. Your TV will automatically adjust to S/video etc - your recorder wont.

I dont have a PS3 but understand there is a 'AV multi output' setting which apparently works with DVD recorders??

Also try and change the input on your recorder set up - its likely in 'AV settings' or something.

Its definitely that dude, just needs some messing around to find it.
