How to record a video on 360?

Warning anyone about to talk high tech don't I won't understand it so please try to make as simple as possible!

I have a crappy Vivitar DVR - 310 Camcorder and I want to hook it up to my 360 so I can put best football plays from Madden onto youtube

I suppose you could sit the camcorder facing the TV screen and record that, but you'll get much better footage with a video capture box. You can get the gizmo and the cables for about $100.
