How to record videos staight from your TV?

Hey i was going to put some videos on youtube (glitches on video games) and was wondering if you could record straight from your TV.

Like I've seen others that have had really good quality and others that you could tell that put a camcorder infront of there TV.

you need to be able to take the source from your game console and put it directly into your computer or record it on tape. To get it into your computer you will need a video capture card and some software that will allow you to take a video signal and record it in your computer in the same way you would do any video signal. You can record it to a DVD burner or a VCR by just connecting the game console using RCA jacks the same way you would connect it to your TV but just go through whatever recording device you are using.

You need a tuner card for your computer to do that.  The cheapest one I found was $100 for a laptop and $120 for a Desktop.
