How to recover lost photos from memory card?

My aunt accidently left her 1GB SD memory card in her jeans, and then tossed them into the laundry.

Now, her digital camera says it cannot read the memory card.

She's really upset, because she had over 300 pics on it, and now she can't get to them.

How can she recover these photographs?

  1. blockbuster has a fiing macine for that. It melts down teh compounds and regenerated it, and coold it. Its about $3 to get ti fixed. If not you can always go to a computer specilist who can regenerate the chip's images that are still constructable for around $20.

  2. I guess I was lucky ... one of my cards went through the washer and dryer and there were no ill effects.

You can try to use an image recovery program.  They are about $30 and both Lexar and San Disk publish them.  You will also need a card reader.  The cameras batteries may fail, or since usually cameras have auto shutoff features that can be a problem
