I'm a very passionate person, things easily affects my emotions. a music, a film, anything that has too mmuch emotion on it easily changes my mood and does affects my feelings to become a bit bad.

Is there any way I can change this or to just simply reduce it.

I'm having a hard time most of the time, just like lately, I think I'm just OK, don't have that much to worry about things, and then, I watched the film., "The Notebook", but it seems to depresses me, the scenes linger in my thoughts, the music, the story ( weel I think the story is not depressing for the main characters still end up together)

  1. I guess is that you are way sensitive to impressions.

    You need to toughen up.

Or you will drown in emotions that are not really your own ones.

You absorb them and let them influence you.

Try to divert your mind with happy thoughts about things that go well in your life:to be alive and enjoy life.

    Space.

  2. Yes toughen up!

  3. Maybe you should talk to your Dr.  You might be bipolar.

  4. Bud... take charge of your emotions.  Use your rational mind to control your emotional side.

If there is no real reason to feel sad or worried don't do it.

Do lots of positive self-talk and don't worry about things that aren't real or haven't happened.

  5. There is nothing wrong with being a sensitive guy, however if you find that these "absorbed" emotional feelings you experience from watching movies or listening to music are affecting your daily life, you may want to consider talking to a therapist. He or she may be able to help you learn how to control these feelings and may help you discover if you are suffering from a chemical imbalance or not.

You explain how the movies or music makes you feel, but what about the things that happen in your life? Do these things affect you in a similar way, or worse? Again, if these feelings are effecting your life in a negative way, such as you shutting yourself in the house or you become socially withdrawn, you should really find some one to talk to.
