How to reduce ocean acidification?

Ocean acidification is the name given to the ongoing decrease in the pH of the Earth's oceans, caused by their uptake of anthropogenic carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

What methods, aside from reducing emissions, can be used to reduce the acidity level of the oceans? Are there any biological methods (microbes, algae, bacteria, etc...) avalible?

  1. To me ocean water is basic because it has more salt content...but if u say due to carbondioxide...it still will remain basic because in a ocean the salt level is very high.also note in a neutralization reaction,acid  reacts with a base to form salt an water so the acid in the water would react with the sallt to release more salt an water.(SO IT'S BALANCED
