How to register AMEX gift card so I can make online purchases?

Question

Do not tell me that I do not need to register it cause I have to. How else am I supposed to fill out billing addresses for online purchases if the card does not know where I live. If you tell me to go to the website then give step by step instructions on how to register it and be sure its the right way or else the card number will be restricted from site.

ok is there an 800 number on the back of the card -- if so give it a call!!!
