  1. It sure is hard, I totally agree. I have learned to be patient and here are few tips.

    1. Listen to Radio/CD

    2. Keep cool air blowing in your face (That gives a nice feeling)

    3. Get a Soda or some cold drink

    4. Keep a hands free and you can go through your phone book and call somebody you didn't contact for so long. Tell them you just called to see how they are doing.

    5. Try giving space for a merging driver and look at them and  smile/wave.

    6. Take some back/alternative roads between exits.

    7. Think of some one who you miss and use the time to call them or to do a little prayer for them.

    8. Finally if you have so much stop and go, wipe your dash and the plastics around you a little.

This can keep you engaged and takes the traffic frustration out a bit.

  2. Just realize that this is the same thing you have to live with everyday. Just like the kids being noisy and naughty at home - - - you live with it.

Also realize that the other options are worse - - - like you are not driving through traffic but desperately looking for a commute/ride home.

  3. i guess after all these years of driving I am used to it. I try to stay alert to my surroundings, do not tailgate and try to go with the flow. I listen to the radio but do not talk on the cell phone.

  4. It takes practice.  I also take a break when I get worked up.  Stop for a soda or a walk.

  5. Mellow out. Don't take it personally. Tell the people in your car to shut the F@#$ up!
