Question:

How to remove a conjunctival eye cyst??

I saw an opthamologist a couple of days ago. He said that this conjunctival cyst in my eye will not go away on its own..it is highly unlikely. He said that it would require a very minor surgery to remove it. I have the surgery scheduled in two weeks. I have had this cyst for about 6 weeks now. Every night, my eye hurts and the cyst has not gotten better or worse and it is in the white part of the eye. Now, for the first time, my eye does not hurt (in the evening) and the cyst is still there. I have tried eye drops by prescription and nothing seems to work. I really don't want to get this cyst surgically removed because it is really expensive, for such a minor thing. Is there any way I can remove this cyst?? Please, serious responses only! I know that it varies by each individual, but I have been unable to wear my contacts. Like I said, I have had this cyst for about 6 weeks now. Thanks!

  1. You may think this is ' a minor thing' it is not................I have had it a few times, you really must have it removed by an ophthalmologist, even if it gets better while you are waiting for the 2 week appt. it can and will reoccur.....................this is your eye, take good care of it................

    good luck
