We need to repair our Steelcase filing cabinet. We know exactly what we need to do to fix it. However, we don't know how to remove the drawer, which is necessary to make the repair. I have done an internet search and there isn't much information. There is reference to "tabs" , but where are these tabs? I can see small black tabs on each side of the cabinet that have something to do with the runners: The seem to move a bit, but ...are they the correct tabs? Do I push them in, out up or down? BTW: We have tried just pulling out the drawers and lifting from the back but that is definitely Not the way these come out. PLEASE HELP!!!

  1. The tabs are on either side of the drawer toward the back.  Pull the drawer all the way out. You then push down on them and continue to pull until the drawer can roll out.

Some tabs are curved and rock foward, other depress down so the track and wheels can pass by.  In each case, the tab keeps the drawer from rolling out too much if it is loaded with files, so they might need a little tap to loosen.
