Okay, it's a Compaq Presario F500, and i spilled milk on it the other day and now some of the keys don't work now. i was thinking that milk may have seeped into the connecters for the keyboard. but i cannot figure out how to remove it.

Please help if you can.

Thanks.

  1. pull the cord out..

  2. Take it to a pro. they have the tools that allow them to take a laptop apart without breaking or damageing anything.

  3. You really can't remove it because you still have to open or disable the laptop before you can remove it. I'm a computer tech but haven't been able to troubleshoot laptops.Circuits and cables in laptop are too complicated if you remove it. I suggest you bring it to the laptop technician in your local area to check it. YOu can't do this alone.

    good luck!

  4. Remove laptop battery.

Using a small flat head screwdriver lift up and remove the keyboard bezel.  it's where the led can be found. just lift it up

Remove the screws securing the keyboard.

Lift up the keyboard and flip it upside down

    Remove the keyboard cable cover.

Unlock the connector, pull the keyboard cable from the connector, remove the keyboard.

    there you go
