How to remove a red stain from cotton pants?

I spilled some (actually a lot of) beer on my green trousers and I tried to wipe them with a red paper napkin (it was the only thing I could get a the time), and now I have a nice red stain on my pants. Is there a way to remove that stain?

i use spray and wash and it works great on color and white cottons. my husband comes home from work everyday with huge fuel stains on his pants and that's all i use (tons, lol) but it works!
