How to remove a small piece of glass from gums?

Question

I have accidentally gotten a really small piece of glass in my gum by drinking from a chip in a glass cup. Although I'm not that concerned about it it has become a little annoying and is occasionally giving me pain. So if anyone has anyway how I can remove the piece of glass it would be much appreciated.
