1. Have you tried uninstalling the program? If not, please do that first and go to http://www.filehippo.com/download_avg_an... to download the latest version of AVG antivirus.

Look in your Start -> Programs -> Startup folder and make sure the program isn't in there.

If that doesn't solve your problem, then go to Start -> Run and type in MSCONFIG

Look for the tab that says startup and locate the process/service that is affiliated with the Power Antivirus program and uncheck the box.

If that doesn't work, then you will have to delve into your registry. If you're not too familiar with the registry then please be very cautious.

Go to run and type in regedt32

navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion -> Run find the process and delete the key.

It may also be in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion -> Run

  2. First use the administrator user, then select control panel (through my computer or start up menu => settings => control panel).

Their you see the add or remove program => step into that then select the program what you want to remove from your system(power-antivirus-2009).

  6. go to the uninstall or change program directory and uninstall it. If that doesn't work go to the store and buy norton 360 2.0 and install it. the virus program you downloaded is a virus.

I just yahood this antivirus and its the funniest thing I've heard. Antivirus programs isn't something you should go cheap on. You put personal info on the internet and if you are like me and you do online banking / credit card / bill pay you want to make sure you are protected.

buy a good program and pay for its subscription to keep yourself up todate.
